Of my more than 25 years in IT, 20+ of these have been in management positions and I have functioned at board level as director since age 25. I have always subscribed to very hands-on management. My entire career has been build around the objective of extracting maximum benefit from technology for those with whom I worked and who benefited by that technology. I absolutely believe that there is no such thing as “impossible” from a computer hardware and software perspective. Technology designed by me has been used in all the major economies around the globe and I have presented and lectured on five continents on subjects ranging from systems management to continuous operations to application resilience. The bulk of my career has been spend on enabling continuous operations, effecting high availability, systems management in all its disciplines, clustering, partitioning, self healing systems and application resilience.
